7 Year Anniversary/Memorial Day

Alex and I just celebrated our 7th anniversary on May 26th. It fell on Memorial Day this year, so we spent the day as a family. Alex gave me the best present by cleaning out/organizing the garage that morning. I've been getting the "nesting" urge, so I was extremely appreciative of his help. After naps we went to Dad and Sheila's house to swim and have dinner. It was a really fun day for everyone.
Alex got the boys dressed for church on Sunday (the day before Memorial Day) and he didn't even plan this red, white, and blue perfection--it was pure coincidence.

Later in the week Alex and I went to The Mabry House for our anniversary dinner. It was the first time for either of us to eat there and we both really enjoyed it. I will be going back as soon as another occasion allows it!

34, 35, 36 weeks

I'm 36 weeks now and feeling like I'm definitely in the final weeks of pregnancy. Contractions are stronger and more frequent and I can tell the baby has dropped some. Dr. John has checked my cervix and said it's definitely softening a lot and gearing up for delivery. The cerclages are still in, so I'm not dilated at all. He wants to wait and remove the cerclages at 38 weeks, if possible. If I go into labor in the meantime, they'll have to come right out. As far as pregnancy news, I'm STILL dealing with nausea...guess it's not going away this time. Zofran has been my best friend. Everything else is good--weight gain (22 pounds), blood pressure, and baby growth (50th percentile at 32 weeks). I'm getting real excited to meet this baby and find out whether it's a boy or girl. I love the anticipation and will be completely pleased either way! Lately I've been feeling like it is a boy, though at times I've thought maybe girl. I really have no clue. Here's our growing baby:
34 weeks (I think)
 35 weeks
36 weeks from the front
36 weeks from the side...big difference!

City Bus for Mills

Being a 2 year old boy, Mills has been obsessed with all things vehicle related. I decided it would be fun for Alex to take the boys on a city bus trip...and thankfully Alex thought it was a good idea too. Perry had a city bus field trip this past year in school and was excited to do it again; and Mills was certainly excited too. I decided not to ride with them, just in case it was real bumpy and uncomfortable. Alex reported that they had a blast and loved looking out the windows at all the sights along the way. Mills was not happy when it was time to get off...he really didn't want it to end, and whined about "buuuusssss" the whole way home.
