Valentine's Day

Cupid (my mom) was quite the gift giver this year. She came over Sunday to give us our presents since we knew Valentine's Day would be a little more hectic. I was so surprised when we opened Perry's present because we had been looking into purchasing this exact item earlier in the week. My mom didn't realize we wanted this for Perry, nor did she know that Perry and I are taking a trip next week...it was just providence!
portable dvd players will be perfect for our long road trip next week!
Alex and I got fancy new toothbrushes. It's going to take me a while to get used to these.
For Valentine's Day, Alex and I had a nice dinner at the house while my mom kept Perry. It was such a treat to sit down and have a relaxing meal with just the two of us. The best part about the meal was that there was hardly any prep work, yet we had steaks, potatoes au gratin, bread, salad, and cheesecake. It was a wonderful day! I'm ever so thankful for all the loved ones in my life.

more about 15 months

I wanted to include a few other fun things about Perry's 15th month of life. There is simply too much to write about, but these are some of the things I would like to always remember.
--Perry loves to flip the light switches off and on. It has become a bedtime ritual for him to turn off the light in his room.
--He loves dancing in Daddy's arms in the evenings after dinner.
--Perry is now walking most all the time! He is getting more and more steady and quick.
--He is starting to feed himself with utensils and helping brush his teeth. He has 2 new teeth on top, which makes for a total of 4 on top and 2 on bottom.
--He has several words that he can say (when he chooses to). A new word in the past couple weeks is "thank you". It sounds more like "tha tha tha".
--We went to the doctor for a check up today and he weighed 25lbs 15oz and was 30ish'' long. She couldn't get a good length because he was a little scared of that part. He did very well with the vaccines and I rewarded him with his first sucker.
I love you, Perry boy!
 Not happy
Perry loves to push anything and everything around the house. Here he is with Alex's over-sized lunch box.

Snow Day

Today was Perry's first time to see (and taste) snow! After a morning of sleeping late followed by a big yummy breakfast (compliments of Daddy), we got bundled up to take Perry outside. I'm not sure he even cared about all the white stuff...he was just SO happy to be outside! He was walking around in the crunchy snow saying "woof woof" the entire time. I'm convinced that this boy would live outside if he could.

I love those footprints!

Mae Mae came down to watch Perry play outside.
Alex left for work around 10:45. My mom came back over to bring Perry a special treat...Snow Ice Cream. It was pretty good. I thought it tasted a lot like a snow cone. Perry and I both enjoyed some.

Today was fun, but I'm ready for Spring!
