Funnies

I don't remember most of the cute and funny things the boys say and do, but here are a few things that have happened recently...
about Perry:
a text I sent Alex:

I was driving on the interstate and a car almost hit us. I screamed, "S*@T, car!" Perry immediately got real excited and asked, "Did you just see some bandits, Mom?!?" He is obsessed with bank robbers and bad guys!
Alex and Perry were wrestling and just as Perry was about to jump on Alex he said, "Oh yeah! Your days are over, darlin'!"
Perry was trying to say something but couldn't come up with the words. He stopped talking and said "Come on brain, why won't you work?"

about Mills:
I love how Mills will say, "just one times" or "all the times".
Alex and the boys were playing a "trick" on me and telling me they ate all the food, leaving me no dinner. I was pretending to be fooled and was asking each of them over and over if it was really true. They all stood by their story. Then I started fake boohooing and Mills immediately got super serious and concerned and said, "There's more! There's more food!" Sweet boy can't stand to see someone upset...while Perry loves to make others suffer. Ha!
Mills lifts up his shirt and looks at his belly to determine if he's full/had enough to eat. He'll say "See! My tummy is biiiiiigggg!"

James:
James just makes himself laugh for no reason and at the most random times. It's really quite funny.

James 6 and 7 Months

On January 1st, 2015 James turned 6 months old. What a way to celebrate the New Year. We are so thankful to have our 3rd boy with us and are looking forward to a wonderful year with many special milestones for James. At 6/7 months old, he is just as happy, adorable, and fun as ever. James is wanting to sit up alone, but not quite there. He is rolling around a lot more and loves grabbing his toes. We've been struggling to figure out how he wants to sleep. He still loves being swaddled, but started breaking out of his double swaddle! After trying to have him sleep unswaddled for several days (and him being so sleep deprived), I decided to come up with something new. We are currently swaddling his arms and then putting a sleep suit over the swaddle...it's crazy! I'll be glad when he decides he wants to sleep on his tummy. James is getting more vocal with his squeals and cries (although he hardly ever cries). He'll have to continue to be loud if he wants to be heard in this household. He loves playing peek-a-boo, splashing in the bath, watching his big brothers, being outside, and teething on everything. He's not a fan of solid food...I'm continuing to try though. Everyone seems to love and comment on James' hair: 1. that is sticks straight up, and 2. that it is blonde. James still has blue eyes, and I'm thinking they may stay that way. At his 6.5 month check up, James weighed 16 lbs, 4 oz and was 27 inches.
