Special Day

Today is a special day...it's Mary Stewart's First birthday! Perry wanted to say a little something in honor of his friend today.

Dear Mary Stewart,
I can't believe you are already one year old! I guess that means my 1st birthday is right around the corner. It seems like just yesterday we were tiny little babies. Do you remember the first time we met? We couldn't even sit up on our own! Now we are so big and have so much fun when we see each other. I'm sorry I can't be there for your birthday party. Momma always says she is sad that we live 3 states away from you. I don't know what that means, but I think it's a long ways! Please tell your mommy to take lots of pictures so I can see how pretty you look. I hope you have a fun birthday and get to eat lot of cake too! Please let me know how it tastes!

Love,
Perry

10 month review

Sweet Perry boy,
This has been one of the best months so far. We have had so much fun playing with you and doing the things that make you happy. We just love to hear your giggles and see your smiles! I think all this playing hard has helped you start sleeping hard as well. On average, you sleep 12 hours at night without interruption, and take two 1 1/2 hour naps per day. It's evident that you are picking up on SO much of what we do. You will pick up the remote control, hold it up over your head, and point it towards the TV. We don't even watch TV that much around you so I'm amazed by this! We listen to music and sing a lot during the day and I guess I've been snapping while I sing because now you "snap" your fingers when you hear music or singing. In fact, you starting snapping while we were singing at church this week! It was sooooo cute! If you're not snapping, you're dancing. You really have some rhythm and will dance to anything! Another new thing you do is raise your arms up above your head when we ask, "How big is Perry?" You don't have any words yet, but you are babbling a lot and trying to talk. You're moving around well--crawling, cruising, and climbing. You're still an excellent eater and love your big boy foods--cheese, turkey, raisins, chicken--but you still don't have any teeth to help you chew. Your favorite things to play with this month have been balls, your riding/push lion, books, and Daddy. You just love having Daddy around and get such a kick out of pulling handfuls of his leg and arm hair! I don't know why he lets you do this except that HE LOVES YOU SO MUCH! I do too!

Denton weekend

Here are some random pictures from our weekend in Denton. We were actually over there for Labor Day weekend, I'm just late in posting this.
Our cookies for the LSU game. Go Tigers!

Perry playing in the yard and chasing the dogs. He has so much fun when we are there because he absolutely LOVES dogs!

We were checking out the huge spider.
Don't worry, we researched all about the banana spider and it is not poisonous.
