Easter

Easter Sunday was a really good day for many reasons. First of all, I was able to go to church! What a great Sunday to return. The boys were surprised and excited that I was going with them, which made me so happy to see. After church we had a nice lunch at my mom's house with lots of family. They boys were doing so well that we stayed through nap time and let them play and have some fun. They each got a special present from Eater Bunny Mae Mae (Perry-transformers; Mills-garbage truck) and had a little egg hunt at her house. It was a long and exhausting day for them, so bed time arrived very early. I think they were both in bed by 6:30...Alex and I had such a long, peaceful evening! It's nice to have some fun things for the kids to participate in, but we made sure to talk with them on several occasions (and read from their Bible book) about why we celebrate Eater.

A few days before Easter Bethany planned a special day for the kids--an egg scavenger hunt all over the yard and house, which led them to the special Easter baskets she made for them. Have I mentioned that we have the BEST nanny in the entire world?!? We are going to miss her SO much! Perry was hesitant to participate at first, but once he got going, he had a blast! Mills was helpful too, but mostly tagged along on Bethany's hip--one of his favorite spots.
I had to document her clever clues. They didn't use this for the actual hunt. She placed each clue individually in the eggs so that one spot lead them to another.

I couldn't believe how cute the baskets were. She put so much thought and time into making them--decorations and all. Mills' was vehicle themed and Perry's was super-hero themed.
